Fleamarket Finds

I love baskets. This is a selection of my favourites, all found in oppies or markets. I've been sorting out our sunroom/sewing room and these baskets are a great way to store wool and bits.

This pretty fabric was found at a garage sale yesterday. I love blue & white together.

This is a pretty poor picture of an amazing gunpowder box I bought for $10 at a local jumble sale. It's fantastic as it serves as a table, bench and has lots of space inside for toys & odd things.

This morning I had a little excursion to the Daylesford Market, fun!! I couldn't resist this little pram & tin bucket. When I get a sec I'm going to plant up the pram with succulants, or flowers, I'm not sure yet. The tin bucket is for mum who is always looking for things to plant in. Aren't they sweet?

Finally today a lovely vintage teatowel with a wild flower theme. I love the colours in this and I'm trying to decide whether to make it into a cushion or just hang it on the wall. Have you found anything colourful, sweet, beautiful or interesting lately? I'm off now to check out more treasures at Sophies xo

All your finds are lovely this week. I adore those baskets. Last time I was in Adelaide my sister and I were in an oppy and a woman told us she had sold all of her collection of baskets as she was downsizing. I could only take two on the plane, however they were scattered in every shop in the town. Hundreds of them. Add that pram... The "girl who had everything" up the street from us, had one just like it. It is lovely. xxNick

the blue and white print is lovely and that pram! I love your idea with using it for potting - you will have to post some pictures of the result

I just love that little pram, it's adorable. Your baskets are great too, they look terrific up there all together. Now there is one useful trunk, I love that you can use it as atable. I might bring mine inside once I give it a good clean up & ensure it's spider free!

Your baskets are a great storage idea Beck! I used to have a little doll's pram practically the same when I was little. It used to have a blue vinyl hood that pulled up too. Hope your having a lovely week.

Oops, I keep forgetting to bring your basket back to you. Meg used to have business cards printed saying 'basket club' whenever she'd see someone in the street carrying a basket, she'd give them one. You definitely deserve one.
Is H@ndmade tomorrow night or next week? XX

as if I didn't need more incentive to move to Australia. Such lovely shops! with so many wonders. Half of our shops are filled with things I could buy at an emporium and marked for the same price.
