My Creative Space

Remember all those vintage buttons I have been collecting?

They are turning into pretty hair clips...

I'm loving all the different colours,

and shapes. Like shiny lollies and flowers.

Our garden is full of gorgeous roses at the moment. When I walk out the back door there is the most amazing scent, made stronger by the warm air. It's another hot day and I'm finishing off the clips and brooches. ( In between looking after Bill, who is home, sick, and playing with Rosie.)

I was so thrilled the other day to find a gorgeous parcel from Kitty in my letterbox! I love my new pincushion (so handy) and all the other lovely bits she included. What a sweetie you are Kitty, thank you so much, I loved everything. This is the first thing I have won whilst blogging so it is extra special.

Last night I had a lovely evening at Father Kevin's. It was the last School Board meeting of the year which was followed by a delicious dinner. What a beautiful old building he lives in and with good company and a fabulous meal it was a real treat. How good is a meal you don't have to cook yourself???!!! But when I go t home I couldn't sleep so today I am feeling pretty exhausted. Sunday came in early, just before six, to show me her tooth had fallen out!! Exciting!!
Wow, one of my little creations is growing up xo

Thanks for your lovely comment! I love your creative space and blog!! So funny - I´m collecting vintage buttons, too and made some hairclips with them, it looks great!

I think your mum should try and attend a course in machine knitting, I wouldn´t have been able to teach myself just from the manual but you get quickly into it when giving instructions and there are sooo many exciting possibilities like knitting directly on to lace or knit beads into your work.... she should give it a try!

See you Kirsten

Those hair clips do look like yummy lollipops.

I'll have to show Emma the photos of Sunday and her missing tooth. Her first loose tooth is almost out and she needs some encouragement. I hope Sunday scored with the Tooth Fairy.

Great use of the buttons Beck. And yes, food just tastes that little more delicious when you haven't had to prepare it yourself.

As for the tooth, exciting but a bit sad... another milestone xxx
