My Creative Space

Yes..more buttons! A return trip to my favourite opshop unearthed a few more special buttons and the original button tin. Yay!

Isn't it a busy time of year?? I haved been having that oh my god feeling when I think about all that I want to achieve over the next few weeks. I have three things due for my class, our garlic needs harvesting as of next week and then there's the makers market. (Oh, and a family to look after!) I must remember to breathe, calm down, breathe.
Today I am in market mode and it's time to make some more bunnies.

This means a trip to the Creswick Woollen Mills to choose some more blanket offcuts. They always have something new and it's fun to try and match the patterns with vintage fabrics. The fawn coloured one is a favourite, it seems to work well with the softer colours of old pillowcase materials.

Laid out like this the bunny shapes, without ears, remind me of paper chain dolls.

One bunny has ears, and a pretty blue skirt.

I think the dark tweed will be a boy bunny. Knitted green overalls maybe?

This little patchwork piece is also bunny related. It is for the Daylesford Maker's Market...I wonder what it will be?

Are you having a creative day?
Don't have to many oh my god moments, ok?! For more spaces pop over here xo

Everything looks very pretty as usual! I am having a moment or 2 here today.. I have just come out of one and a half weeks of sick haze (first kids and then me), and behold I find myself in November! *breathe*

I think I've had 3 oh my god moments this morning but have had a cup of tea and a deep breath so know I can carry on now. I love your bunnies so much, how lucky that you are able to get those wool offcuts, thanks for the link to Creswick, I'll have to check it out.

I think I wake up every morning at the moment thinking 'Eeeeeeek, so much to try and get done,' must be a case of Novemberitis. I like seeing the way your bunnies come together, so sweet.

I hope the bunny making helps you relax. They look cute dont they, and I think knitted green overalls would be very cute! The weather is supposed to be nice and warm so I am sure you will be able to get your garlic picked, do the kids help you do it.

How lovely are these bunnies! Yes I can relate so much to the OMG moments, and to the effort to stay afloat when you are supposed to be doing a million and one things! Hang in there! Your space is looking great!

More buttons! I am happy now...

I had a creative night last night. Ben's away and after a long chat on the phone with him I was suddenly inspired and dashed off to my sewing machine to begin some bunting based on Dotty Angel's pattern. I'll post about it when it's done, but real life in the form of tidying up needs to intervene, first. I love the little proto-bunnies.

Yep - I get that feeling too, but it always passes ... eventually!! Great space this week - love the bunny's. I'm thinking the patchwork will be a sign or something with pockets for bunny's?? Have fun! Nic xx

The bunnies in the making are so cute! I love the fabric you use. I don't know of any blanket factories around here though.....good luck getting it all done. I'm feeling the same right now. We've got a flower shop employee on vacation for 2 weeks and I'm the designated fill-in. Yikes! An hour commute (one way) and a house to run...I feel your pain!
