Yesterday Rosie & I went to the beautiful town of Trentham to visit one of the best op shops in the area.
I love this oppie!!
It was full of treasures, all neatly piled and sorted and at such reasonable prices. Like opshops in the old day always were. I had a lot of fun looking for fabric for my scrap quilt and for bunny making and did find some ace vintage pieces.
The scrap quilt is coming along nicely although I think it will become two quilts. A brighter, more colourful Australiana inspired one and the other might be more gentle and faded.
I've been working on an order for Kelly from Dear Prudence too, three bunnies for Easter.
Usually I make the bunnies first and my mum matches the colours for the cardi's,
but this time we are working backwards and I have all three cardi's already. It's been fun finding the co ordinating fabric & I'm really happy with all three combinations.
This post has taken a few hours because I've been sitting with Kate & chatting about a million things including the new Daylesford craft group, Handmade! We are meeting for the first time this Monday, 8th March at 7.00 at The Perfect Drop. If you live nearby and would like to come then send me an email or just turn up!! We love to see you.
Before I forget I'm happy to say that Tania will be receiving the knitting pattern book from my last Creative Space!! Yay for you honey!! I hope you have fun making the teensy tiny cakes and teapot. Can you please send me your address?
For more Creative Spaces pop over & visit Kooyotoo.
Hope your space is a happy one today,
see you soon xo

I love the working backwards bit...your matchups are perfect.
What a gorgeous op shop! I could spend hours in there.
I havent been to Trentham in a long time now, but it must still be the nice little quaint town it used to be. The op shop sounds like you could find many treasures there. I love your mum's bunny cardis, and how much fun to find the fabrics to match each one. Hope you have lots of fun at your craft night too!
Love the Op shop finds. This post is just bubbling over with creativity. It all looks splendid. xo m.
As usual Beck, lots of lovely things on the go. How awesome that you and Kate are starting a crafty group. It is great to see groups popping up here and there.
woot for Tania winning!
and so jealous all you ladies get to be cool and crafty together in Australia and I am stuck in IDAHO!
I'm so happy to see bunnies again!!! Not that I don't think your quilt(s) are looking gorgeous because I do.
And what an amazing oppy, I can see why it's your favourite.
Those fabrics are great, isn't it just the best fun rumaging through all those piles in the op shop, it has to be my favourite passtime. Your bunny colours are gorgeous, too, looking forward to the end results.
WooHoo! I WAS going to make a concerted effort to move past the knitting thing and rediscover the sewing machine, but that's all flown out the window now. Teapot here I come! (and thank you so much!) xxx
what a divine looking oppy! So many treasures to discover. It's all looking great in your space xo

I loved that glimpse into an op shop - I think I first learned that name from you! I am havingt withdrawal symptoms from our Secours Catholique shops, and as I have some sorted clothes to drop off there tomorrow, I think I will just pop in too!
The quilts sound and look great so far, and I love the colours for the bunnies. Have a great day.
I love how you and your mom work together to make the bunnies. They are so precious. Lovely finds at the op shop!
