blue

Waking to a big blue sky this morning made it feel like summer. Or even spring! Whispers in the bathroom turned into two girls in blue, getting ready for school. Giggling, doing their hair, their shared expressions so beautiful to watch.

I've always loved the colour blue. It reminds me of happy things, the sea, the sky, a feeling of hope. Last night I had a fantastic vivid dream about a town by the sea called Yest. Houses were big and old fashioned in Yest, and cheap!

Every back yard had access to a little beach, children played happily in the water, an old fashioned steam train sat at the quiet old station, people sat outside a cafe with their dogs, and all over this town hung a blue, blue sky. Some dreams are hard to wake up from.

Today is a great day as I'm off to see Charlotte tonight for some dinner and a bit of book shopping. We haven't seen each other for too long and it's been difficult for all of us. I can't wait to get there.

The next few weeks are looking busy so I"m bracing myself a little. The school concert is on tomorrow night, Charlotte's formal next week and a wedding in the holidays. We are going away too, so there is lots to organise. I've slowed down a bit with bunny making but I'm keen to get organised for upcoming markets and also keep the shop well stocked.

Life is busy isn't it? This year seems to have flown by. I can't believe we are almost in fourth term and that Christmas isn't far away. I'm hanging on to the precious time with my kinder girl who will become a school girl next year. Life is busy but beautiful, I treasure every mad moment and feel so lucky to have the life I live. I can't wait to have some relaxing times with the gang, in the sunshine over the holidays. It will be good to be somewhere else, away from the usual and seeing some of the sights of gorgeous Queensland. What have you been up to lately? Are you planning a holiday or some special time with someone you love?
Hope so, see you soon lovely friends xo

Oh time sure is flying by, I can't quite believe we are at the end of term. I hope you have a lovely night with your daughter & that the concert is great tomorrow night!

Beautiful, beautiful blues, and lovely thoughts too, Beck! We have grey skies, not blue, for the first time in months, and the garden is still soaking in the results of last night's rain - wonderful! For us it's all about Back to School, with the added 'excitement' of a two day strike by many teachers... But on the whole the rentrée is going well for my two (big) boys!

I love blue too. All shades. I love your polka dotted tote bag. Where'd you get it? Glad you are approaching warmer weather. We are finally getting some fall like weather and relief :)

And I think I need one of those blue bags you have hanging on the back of the door!
