I used to teach fire safety to my young class of 4 and 5 year olds, and I found that the 'only children' were really struggling with the idea of leaving their toys behind. Others could understand that humans must come first, but the 'only children' obviously considered their toys to be loved members of the family. It was really heart-rending to try to convince them to prioritise their own lives over the 'lives' of their toys! On a more cheerful note, our boys have gained the same independence that you mention from dog walking. They are so responsible and careful when they're out with Raja!Flosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18098894367955345944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468797593205787526.post-58933171646775807092009-05-04T22:06:00.000+10:002009-05-04T22:06:00.000+10:00Great pictures! It was so fun to see them dressed up in their costumes and on stage. Always makes me cry how grown up they look on recital day :)Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17480939903983271555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468797593205787526.post-38832389391013295112009-05-04T21:29:00.000+10:002009-05-04T21:29:00.000+10:00I was thoroughly enjoying your post until you thre...I was thoroughly enjoying your post until you threw in the mousie reminder. Thanks for that. Have gone cold and shivery all over so utterly incapable of talking great autumn rolling leaves or blink and miss kid growing or excellent and (I'm guessing) cathartic exhibition ideas...Taniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17520680195281725886noreply@blogger.com
